WEDNESDAY, MAY 10


Adult Ceramics Class Josephy Center, 403 North Main, Joseph 3 p.m. No previous experience is required.

Joseph High School Concert 7 p.m. at the school, 400 East Williams Ave., Joseph. Students in grades 7-12 will perform a concert “Legends of Rock and Roll,” featuring the school’s band and choir members dressed as classic rock musicians from decades past. Audience members are encouraged to dress in costume as well. Music from Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Blondie, Kansas and others.

Life Drawing with Sam Collett 7 p.m. Josephy Center, 403 North Main St., Joseph. All skill levels welcome. Live model on site for every class.

Enterprise City Library Storytime 10:30 a.m. at the library, 101 NE First St., Enterprise.

Mother’s Day Plant and Bake Sale 8 a.m. at Wallowa Memorial Hospital, 601 Medical Parkway, Enterprise. Wallowa Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will hold a plant and bake sale in the lobby. See’s candy will also be available.


FRIDAY, MAY 12


Beginning Guitar for Kids 10 a.m. 705 S. River St., Enterprise. For kids just starting out or who need to review. Learn basics of tuning, holding guitar, strumming with a pick, easy chords and simples songs. Fee: $60. Instructor: Janis Carper.

Continuing Guitar for Kids 10:30 a.m. 705 S. River St., Enterprise. For kids who have completed beginning guitar or have comparable skills. Learn more songs and techniques. Students must have their own instrument. Fee: $60. Instructor: Janis Carper.

Drawing and Painting for Teens and Adults 3 p.m. Joseph Center, 403 North Main St., Joseph. For ages 13 to adult. Taught by Jennifer Klimsza.

Kindermusik - ABC Music & Me 10 a.m. Building Healthy Families, 207 E. Park St., Enterprise. For toddlers and preschoolers. Each session includes a healthy snack and take-home instrument.

Parent-Child Playgroup 9 a.m. Building Healthy Families, 207 E. Park St., Enterprise. Songs, stories, snacks and activities for kids and parents focusing on developing kindergarten readiness skills.

Yard Sale Fundraiser 8 a.m. 82159 Eggleson Lane, Enterprise. Fishing gear, some hunting gear, tools, household and a La-Z-Boy lift chair. Money raised will go to Creating Memories for Disabled Children.

Wallowa FFA Mother’s Day Plant Sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. FFA Chapter Greenhouse on Second St. in Wallowa. Hanging baskets, geraniums, annuals and other plants. Even continues weekends throughout the season.


SATURDAY, MAY 13


Alpine Meadows Annual Spring Fling 66098 Golf Course Road, Enterprise. For members and nonmembers. There will be a mini tournament earlier in the day. Putting contest and KP contest on Hole 1. Happy hour starts at 4:30 with lasagna dinner 6 p.m. There will be a meeting following dinner with president Josh Kissinger introducing the board and answering any questions.

Lower Valley Farmers Market 11 a.m. 301 E. First St., Wallowa. Indoor farmers market open year-round. Friday times will be added during the growing season.

Tunesmith Night 7 p.m. Burnaugh Building, 107 N. River St., Enterprise. Showcase of original music presented in a round-robin format. Featuring Tracy Spring, Lewi Longmire and Matt Cadenelli. Admission is $10 at the door or by season pass. Doors open at 6 p.m., music at 7 p.m., all ages welcome.

Wine and Painting 1 p.m. Joseph Center, 403 North Main St., Joseph. With Jenny Klimsza, for the total beginner. Class size is limited. Preregister in person, online or by phone. Wine is provided but you may bring a snack to contribute, a painting smock and ideas and inspiration.

Owls of Northwest Oregon 7 p.m. Wallowology 508 N. Main St., Joseph. Presented by Janet Hohmann, former U.S. Forest Service biologist and Holly Akenson, wildlife biologist.
