The 10th annual “Best Little Airshow in Oregon” will return to Joseph State Airport Friday and Saturday, July 13-14.
The Wallowa County Fly-in and Air Show is sponsored by North East Oregon Aviation Foundation.
The formal agenda of events commences with a banquet open to the public at 5:30 p.m. Friday, a no-host dinner with live music by Jimmy Bivins and silent and live auctions with items donated by Wallowa County businesses.
The proceeds from the event will be directed toward the support of aviation and aeronautical sciences education at the high school level in Wallowa County.
Events continue Saturday with a pancake breakfast 7-10 a.m. served at the airport.
A wide variety of aircraft will be available for inspection including a North American AT6, an Aero L39 “Albatross” jet and many other historic planes.
An interactive education booth with activities will showcase the Joseph High School’s aviation program and introduce kids and adults to the science behind flying.
The West Coast Ravens will perform formation flying 9 a.m. on Saturday. A fly-by of craft from the Oregon Air National Guard is 10:15 a.m.
