Printmaking sessions set
Wallowa Printmakers Guild will hold open studio sessions 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 and 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Josephy Center for Arts and Culture in Joseph.
Monoprinting, solarplate etching and linoleum block printing are available options. These sessions are for people who have taken a class or have other print-making experience and want to use the Josephy Center equipment and supplies.
The print studio is also available at other times without supervision to experienced print artists.
Barn dance planned Aug. 25
Wallowa Resources Barn Dance and Auction Fundraiser will be 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 at The Blue Barn, 63327 Tenderfoot Valley Road, Joseph.
Festivities begin with a social hour followed by a barbecue featuring sides from Backyard Gardens and local beef from Jess and Zane Anderson.
The live auction offers items and adventures from local businesses and artists, then dance the night away to music by Clyde and the Countryside Band.
All of the proceeds from this event will benefit Wallowa Resources’ efforts to create jobs in land and water stewardship, promote sustainable technology and renewable energy, help control invasive weeds on range and forest lands, and provide top notch outdoor youth stewardship learning opportunities.
Tickets are only available at The Bookloft, on the Wallowa Resources website and from board members.
Allman tribute band coming
OK Theatre will host “Brothers and Sisters,” a meticulous and soulful tribute to the Allman Brothers band, 7 p.m. Aug. 30
The theatre is located in downtown Enterprise
