All three Wallowa County school districts have announced plans for their annual Kindergarten Roundup.
Parents of incoming kindergarteners are invited to an information session 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Wallowa Elementary School in the kindergarten room.
Bring a birth certificate, social security number (voluntary) and immunization records. Children must be five on or before Sept. 1, 2018, to enroll.
Childcare will be provided in the first-grade room.
Kindergarten registration will be held in Alyse Shetler’s classroom at Joseph Elementary School 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19. Parents are invited to bring their child, check out the school and its programs, meet teachers and administration and complete registration.
Children will also take a quick fun assessment to gauge academic preparedness and provide feedback on what areas to work on over the summer.
Bring the child’s birth certificate and immunization records. Children must be five by Sept. 1, 2018, to enroll. No exceptions.
Registration will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Enterprise Elementary School in the kindergarten classroom. Parents will have the opportunity to meet teachers, administration and school staff and learn about a typical day in kindergarten.
Samples of the curriculum will also be available as well as school tours. Refreshments will be served.
