Dec. 16, 1949 –– Feb. 11, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Henry B. Kinsley announces his passing Feb. 11, 2018, at age 68.
Henry was born in Republic, Wash., to Hank and Gladys Kinsley and moved to Enterprise at an early age where he attended school and graduated from Enterprise High School.
He also attended Eastern Oregon State College and served in the National Guard.
Henry played and performed music as a self-taught musician at 14 and began writing songs while still in high school. His musical efforts gained honors in local, regional and national formats in the song-writing field.
His passion for music, his voice, beautiful songs and kind demeanor will be forever remembered by his wife of nearly 47 years and best friend, Judy, and his daughters, Jill Wilcox and Joni Brooks and his precious grandchildren, Rylee and Brad Wilcox and Cade and Kinsley Brooks.
He will also be remembered with love by his siblings, Ron Kinsley, Lynda Olson, Jan Goodrich and their families. He was admired and will be especially missed by his in-laws Bob and Cherryl Zacharias and his many friends who shared his love of music, whether they were playing with him, taking lessons from him or simply enjoying his pretty tunes.
A celebration of life and musical tribute will be 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Joseph Community Center in Joseph. Live music will be performed by many of his musical friends and band members following the ceremony and tribute.
