Carolyn “Cookie” Fesler, 62, of Joseph, died at Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Enterprise. As per her request, there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Carolyn was born March 11, 1956, in Pueblo, Colo., to James and Patricia (Torrence) Emerson. She worked in Alaska as a heavy equipment operator out of Local 302 and also started a nonprofit UANracing to raise funds to cure epilepsy.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, skiing, fishing, trick riding, horseback riding, sewing, spending time with family and volunteering at the Enterprise animal shelter.

She was preceded in death by her son Morgan; father James and mother Pat; her step-mom Karen and her nephew Levi.

Carolyn is survived by her two sons, Zachary and his wife Jody and Jace; grandsons Josh and Wyatt; sister Debbie and husband Carl; brothers Jim and his wife Melissa, Will and his wife Ronnie; Matt and his wife Doaa; nephews London, Teagan and Morgan; nieces Emily, Chelsea, Kayla, Sadie, Kendall and Karen.
