Joseph Eagle pole vaulters soar high

The boys pole vaulters capped a tremendous season with T J Grote finishing first with an 11-00 leap and William Caldwell second with a jump of 10-06.

Both will make the trip to Eugene for the state track meet this week.

Teammate Kade Kilgore, who finished second in district last year, did not make the cut.

Ellyse Tingelstad paced the girls competitors, capturing first in the 1500 M and 3000 M, also making the trip to state in both.

Juston Rogers finished second in the boys 800 M and also ran a leg of the first-place winning boys 4x400 Relay team with Guylen Snyder, Joah VanDoozer and Tyler Homan.

Homan also placed first in the 300m Hurdles. All four will compete at state.

The Joseph 4x100 Relay team of Sabrina Albee, Camille Crenshaw, Ella Coughlan and Alexis Sykora finished second behind an Adrian team and will head to state.

Sabrina Albee, Haley Miller, Tinglestad and Coughlan combined efforts to capture second in the 4x400 Relay and a trip to state. Coughlan also finished second in the 400 M.
