Summerfest in Enterprise will once again help welcome the summer season. Scheduled for Saturday, June 17, and hosted by the Enterprise Merchants Association, its main event is a festive, colorful parade that will fill Main Street with floats and kids, horses and marching groups, balloons and flags, to celebrate the summer.

Ribbons or plaques will be awarded to the best entries.

Visitors are invited to put together their own entries if they like, or just enjoy watching an old-fashioned small town parade. The Enterprise Merchants Association will also host music in the park and a pancake breakfast.

Many downtown merchants - including those who enter the parade - will also be holding their annual Crazy Days sidewalk sale. Bargain hunters will be in their element as they browse through tables of sales items set up on the sidewalk in front of stores.

After the stores close Saturday, city merchants encourage Enterprise visitors to head down to the Wallowa County Fairgrounds for the third annual Bull Riding event, featuring the big daddy of rodeo events plus "mutton busting" (sheep riding) for the kids who want in on the action and horse racing. (See a separate story on the event elsewhere in this guide.)
