Wallowa Memorial Hospital has successfully completed the new accreditation process from DNV GL Healthcare, a world leader in certifications for quality, patient safety and clinical processes.

By earning accreditation, the facility has shown it meets or exceeds patient safety standards (Conditions of Participation) set forth by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

“We made the decision to invest in DNV GL’s program because it is consistent with our long-term commitment to quality, patient safety, and improvement in all clinical and financial processes,” said Wallowa Memorial Hospital CEO Larry Davy. “We’re proud of the work and effort our physicians, leadership team and staff invested to make our first DNV survey a successful one.”

The DNV GL’s hospital accreditation program, Integrated Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, involves annual hospital surveys –– instead of every three years –– and encourages openly sharing information to uncover where more improvements can be made in all departments and functions of the hospital, from safety protocols to workflows.
