Truck accident rate dropping, state data shows

A tractor-trailer approaches the scales at the Woodburn port of entry. A new study finds that truck drivers and health-care workers are at risk of workplace accidents - and Oregon has the second-highest rate of accidents. 

Employees in Oregon are high-risk for workplace injury, especially nurses, health-care workers and heavy truck drivers.

A February study by High Rise Financial, a presettlement legal company for victims of personal injury cases, found that Oregon is the state with the second-highest rate of workplace accidents in the United States.
