Wallowa County had four more cases of COVID-19 reported by the OHA on Oct. 1, bringing the overall total to 582. 

The report caps the number of cases for the month of September at 163, or 5.43 cases per day on average. The per-day rate for the month is just below August, which saw 180 cases and a rate of 5.81 per day. 

There were no new deaths reported, keeping the number at 12. 

OHA reported 792 patients in the hospital with COVID-19, and 223 in ICU. In Region 9, however, there were 34 people hospitalized with COVID-19, nearing the record of 35.
