College-bound high school students who want to take the ACT test for college admissions have two chances to register for the Dec. 13, 2003, national test date.

The regular postmark registration deadline is Friday, November 7, 2003 and costs $26. The late registration postmark deadline is Nov. 20, which costs the $26 plus an additional $16.

ACT scores are accepted by virtually all colleges in the nation, including all Ivy League schools. The test is a curriculum based achievement test, not an aptitude test that has four sections covering English, reading, math, and science. The tests cover material that students study in high school.

For more information about the test, to obtain the registration form or to find testing dates and locations, contact local high school counselors or go on the web at www.act.org.
