WALLOWA – On Tuesday, Feb. 21, the Wallowa City Council approved a conditional use permit application submitted by Anna Marie Osuna to open an acupuncture clinic in her home at 201 Holmes Street.

In an earlier letter to the City of Wallowa, Osuna said she has been a practicing acupuncturist for more than 13 years and is both nationally certified and licensed by the Oregon Medical Board to practice her specialty in this state.

During her career as an acupuncturist, Osuna has practiced her trade in Guatamala, Honduras, and southern Mexico providing services to Mayan Indians and victims of recent hurricanes.

Osuna previously lived and practiced in Okanagon County, Wash., for 10 years and most recently in Delores, Colo., for three years.

She has spent the past two summers in Wallowa remodeling an older house that now has become her office/home, the arrangement she’s always worked under during her years as a practicing acupuncturist.

Osuna’s business will continue to be called Golden Sunrise Clinic.
