The American Cancer Society is once again offering bouquets of daffodils, the traditional first flower of spring, for sale during its annual Daffodil Days fund-raising event. According to Gladys Kinsley, chair for the Enterprise Daffodil Days, orders are due by March 13, with delivery scheduled for March 31. Cost of the flowers is $7 for a bouquet and $12 with a vase.

Kinsley says the money raised through the event is used by the American Cancer Society to help fund cancer research. It also goes to support the many educational community service programs offered by the Society.

Kinsley also explains that "Gifts of Hope" can be anonymously purchased for delivery to patients at the local hospital and treatment centers.

"It is amazing the impact a bouquet of flowers can have on a patient's recovery, especially when it is an unexpected gift of generosity," she says.

Daffodils can be ordered by calling Gladys Kinsley at 432-7051.
