Mail-in ballots to 35 members of the U.S. Armed Forces, all with Wallowa County addresses, were mailed out Sept. 24 by the Wallowa County clerk. The ballots are for the Nov. 2 General Election which will include eight statewide measures, a local levy on the Joseph Cemetery District, a Joseph city recall ballot and many public candidate races at the national, state, county and city level.

Wallowa County Clerk Charlotte McIver said that the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 2 election is Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. She encouraged voters who have moved since the last election to register at her office in the Wallowa County Courthouse by that date. The mail-in ballots will be sent through the mail Oct. 15.
