Ballots for the Nov. 5 mail-in election were sent to registered voters Oct. 18.

County clerk Charlotte McIver says that if someone does not receive an anticipated ballot by Oct. 28 to contact her office at 426-4543, Ext. 15.

She also reminds voters to place their ballot in the secrecy envelope, then place the secrecy envelope in the tan envelope. The voter's signature needs to go on the tan envelope. The clerk warns individuals NOT to sign the ballot of another person as it is a Class C felony that, she says, the Secretary of State's office will file charges on.

To be counted ballots must be returned no later than 8 p.m. Nov. 5 at her office in the county courthouse in Enterprise, at city hall in Joseph or at city hall in Wallowa.
