The drawing for a basket that included a $100 gift certificate, homemade pillow, cloth napkins and other goodies was held at the end of Beta Nu's annual Christmas meeing Dec. 12 at the home of Minnie Fregulia. The winner was Mandy Lynn of Enterprise.

The basket was presented Monday, Dec. 16, to a very surprised young woman. "I've never won anything before," she said happily.

Proceeds from the basket ticket sales will help fund Beta Nu's various local service projects, such as donations to memorials, the 4-H/FFA fat stock sale, bereavement baskets and Christmas gifts for the children of needy families.

This past year's biggest project was a donation to the Pioneer Guest Home Resident's account. Every year at the December meeting sorority sisters also bring a donation to the Wallowa County Food Bank.
