The Wallowa County Chieftain announces the release of Kindle and Android e-Edition apps. The Android app is now available in the Google Play store and the Kindle app is available in the Amazon apps for Android store. The app allows Android device and Kindle owners to access the Chieftain e-Edition 24/7. The apps are an exact replica of the printed newspaper with customizable features to fit your needs.

You can flip through pages and skim headlines as you would the printed edition. Chieftain e-Edition also allows you to enlarge type with the tap of a finger, or jump instantly to the conclusion of a story on another page. You can link to websites mentioned in stories with a single touch, or fire off an e-mail to an address linked from the newspaper. And if you missed the paper one day, don’t worry. The Wallowa County Chieftain e-Edition lets you download past e-Editions, too.

The apps will be free to download, but a print or online subscription will be required to view the e-editions. If users already have an account for our e-Editions, the same information will be used to log into the apps.

Apps for Apple devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) are also available for our publication through the iTunes store. To subscribe or find out more information about our e-Editions and apps, visit wallowa.com.
