Nine police officers split into two teams Jan. 28 and knocked on the doors of seven suspected drug houses in Enterprise and Joseph. The sweep, described by police officers as "knock and talk," resulted in three citations for possession of less than one oz. of marijuana, two citations for making alcoholic beverages available to minors and five minor in possession of alcohol charges.

Oregon State Trooper Seth Cooney, who joined one of the teams, said there was a lot of toilet flushing going on.

Of the seven residences contacted, no one answered the door at two houses, one house refused to cooperate with the officers and citations resulted from the other four.

Picked up on marijuana charges were Eric Post, 20; Jerry Winn, 37; and Carla Young, 47, all of Enterprise. Joseph residents charged with making alcoholic beverages available to minors were Jacob Strickland and Jared Kassahn, both 21.
