Coronation set Saturday

The Chief Joseph Days court - from left, Casey Montgomery, Chelcee Noland and Kallie Hadden, got a new job over the weekend, putting labels on Joseph Chamber of Commerce's new special Wild Ride Rodeo Blend coffee blend, provided by the Motley Brew. The public is invited to watch the three candidates for Chief Joseph Days queen at riding tryouts at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, at Harley Tucker Memorial Arena in Joseph. Vying for the queen's tiara this year are Kallie Hadden, Casey Montgomery and Chelcee Noland.

Dinner/dance tickets for the CJD Coronation Dinner and Dance Saturday night are sold out, but people can call the Joseph Chamber, 432-1015, for possible cancellations.

The prime rib dinner will be served at 6 p.m., followed by introduction of past courts and a fashion show by the present court. Making its debut at the dinner will be a special coffee blend by Motley Brew titled "Wild Ride Rodeo Blend." The dance will begin about 9 p.m. (dance-only tickets are $5), with the announcement of the new queen scheduled at 9:30 or 10.
