ENTERPRISE – The Enterprise Education Foundation will host its ninth annual “We Love Our Kids” dinner and auction this week to raise money to keep the Enterprise elementary arts and music programs alive.

The gala event is scheduled Friday, April 12, at Cloverleaf Hall, with a prime rib dinner served at 6 p.m. There will be both a silent and live auction, full of community and business donations, as well as unusual auction items made or put together by each elementary class.

A sampling of classroom projects expected to get top dollar in the inevitable bidding wars are: a wheelbarrow full of garden supplies, put together by the kindergarten class; ceramic stoneware thrown by teacher Sue Barstad and decorated by her 2nd grade students; a wooden bench made by 4th grade teacher Mark Keffer and embellished with wood-burnt decorations by his students; and a project involving a class photograph and jewelry made by 6th graders.

Dinner tickets ($25 single, $45 couple) were close to sold out at press time, so call the Enterprise Elementary School office, 541-426-3812.
