Enterprise Ed Foundation foots bill for art in the schools

Blackjack was popular at casino night.

Casino Night for the Enterprise Education Foundation, Feb. 7, was a huge success according to Foundation President Cindy Aschenbrenner. "We were thrilled with the turnout - it was a very successful event," she said. The event saw nearly 150 people lining craps tables, and circling poker tables as Wallowa County, residents gambled the evening away for charity.

Local individuals and merchants contributed fabulous prizes that were raffled off when players turned in their chips for raffle tickets at the evenings end. Darren Chitwood won tickets to OSU Baseball and a stay at the Red Lion; J.D. Nobles won the South Point Casino trip in Las Vegas; Mike Warner won the weekend at Wild Horse Casino in Pendleton; and Heather Marr won the $100 gas card. The foundation is collecting funds to continue the art program for the Enterprise School District.

Their next event is the 5th Annual "We Love Our Kids" Mardi Gras themed, prime rib dinner and auction, April 3, at the Cloverleaf Hall. Tickets are available by calling Sandy at 426-3812. To donate an item for the silent or live auction, call Cindy at 426- 2039.
