ENTERPRISE – The city of Enterprise and the Greater Enterprise Main Streets Group (GEMS) invites residents and history buffs to a celebration today (Wednesday, May 30) to recognize the city’s downtown historic buildings.

The celebration will start at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, at the Odd Fellows Hall, where refreshments will be served and plaques awarded to the Odd Fellows Hall, the Wallowa County Courthouse, the Burnaugh Building and the Gotter Hotel.

The Odd Fellows will also give a short presentation about their restoration plans for their historic hall.

The event continues at the historic E.M. &M. building where there will be more talking, eating and celebration. Mary Swanson, chairperson of GEMS, will talk about upcoming projects.

The finale will be at the historic OK Theatre where there will be more refreshments and a showing of the the short 1930’s “Shop at Home” video about Enterprise. For more information, call 541-426-4196.
