ENTERPRISE – The first-ever EHS Alumni Celebration, hosted by the Enterprise High School Class of 1972, will make downtown Enterprise the place to be on Saturday, Aug. 4.

Lear’s Pub and Grill will provide food and drinks, and the event will also include dancing music by the Matt Harshman Band, with both indoor and outdoor areas to visit, eat and dance.

A segment of Main Street in Enterprise will be blocked off for the event from 4 p.m. to midnight on Aug. 4.

The EHS Class of 1972 is hoping to make this celebration “one of the social events of the year.” Not only are EHS alumni invited, so are teachers and Joseph High School and Wallowa High School alumni.

There will be raffles and contests, such as best/worst dressed, best dancers, best cheerleader with outfit, and most changed/least changed individual.

The class also is putting a call out for players to sign up for a golf tournament in the morning and a basketball shoot-out later in the day on Aug. 4. Suggestions are welcome for other adult and children’s games. All winners will receive trophies.

The schedule for the class’s reunion and the celebration it is hosting is as follows:

Class social for EHS Class of 1972, 6 to 10 p.m., Lear’s Conference Room, Friday, Aug. 3. Bring a pie or other dessert.

Alumni Dinner and Dance, Saturday, Aug. 4, Call Steve Lear for details and RSVP, 541-426-3300.

The class would like to make this event something special that everyone can enjoy now and in the future. Call John Hillock (541-398-2367) or Lyman Warnock (541-426-3638) for information. Volunteers and suggestions are also needed.
