May 20

Michael Keith Tillery, 27, Wallowa, arraigned on charges of two counts assault-3 and strangulation.

John T. Speger, 40, Enterprise, arraigned on charges of attempting to elude police, careless driving and possession of less than ounce marijuana.

Charles L. Willis, 55, Enterprise, pleaded guilty to DUII, one-year suspension of driver's license, 36-month bench probation, 80 hours community service (48 hours in lieu of 48 hours in custody), no alcohol/bars, attend Victim Impact Panel, drug/alcohol evaluation and completion of recommended treatment, $1,000 fine with $500 suspended, $293 fees.

Alan Michael Nieth,18, Enterprise, admitted probation violation (furnishing liquor to minor et al), revoked and reinstated.

Fish/game cases

5-20 Laura R. Peterson, 43, Hermiston, wildlife violation/misdemeanor, hunting license suspended for two years, 24-month bench probation, 80 hours community service work for non-profit agency, forfeit all 52 packages of elk meat to the Oregon State Police to be used as they deem appropriate., $1,000 fine with $800 suspended, $133 fees, $100 to OSP decoy and equipment fund; additional wildlife violation/misdemeanor, 24-bench probation concurrent with above, $1,000 fine with $800 suspended, $67 fees.

5-20 Nick Haring, 29, Redmond, violation of Grand Ronde River permit (no portable toilet), $77 fine.

5-20 Kenneth Allen Turpin, 53, violation of Grande Ronde River permit (possession and chainsaw use), $77 fine.

5-21 Jeffrey Ronald Bennett, 23, sentenced for unlawful removal of a wildlife carcass/or waste of wildlife (based on April 16 jury verdict), hunting license suspended for two years, two-year bench probation, 80 hours community service work, shall not aid any one else with hunting for two years, $2,000 fine suspended, $133 fees; additional charge, placing polluting substance in water, additional 80 hours community service work, $1,500 fine with $1,300 suspended, $133 fees, $800 restitution to ODFW.
