The Hells Canyon National Recreation Area of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest has prepared a draft decision notice, finding of no significant impact and final environmental assessment (EA) for the Puderbaugh Vegetation Management Project. The EA is now available for pre-decisional administrative review.

Based on feedback received during the comment period, District Ranger Kris Stein has selected Alternative C with modifications to implement forest restoration, fuels reduction, a strategic fuel break, access management, and address western pine beetle infestations in the Imnaha River within the 36,000-acre project area.
