JOSEPH – A new business named GoGirl Delivery and Errand Service should make life easier for its customers and shows the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in the next generation.

GoGirl proprietor Haven Johnson, who is going on 13 and will be in the eighth grade at Joseph Charter School this fall, delivers packages of various sizes around Joseph on her bicycle, as well as performing a variety of other errands.

The bike is equipped with a good-sized basket to haul its cargo and Haven is equipped with a cell phone to receive service orders and communicate with customers.

She said that so far her first day of business in June was her busiest with seven orders, but on slow days she may have only two calls for her services. Prices range from $2 to $5 for deliveries with multiple packages.

Haven is the daughter of Joseph Hardware Store owners James and Leah Johnson, who sometimes employ their daughter for such things as picking up their mail.

The young entrepreneur has distributed flyers and business cards downtown, and among other jobs has been delivering lunches from R & R Drive-In to business owners and counting cans for recycling.

Haven said she is saving money for a school trip to Washington, D.C., next summer and for college.

GoGirl is open for business from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. three days a week, Wednesday through Friday. The Go-Girl phone number is 541-398-1841.
