The Joseph FFA chapter plans to join with more than half a million other chapter members nationwide to celebrate National FFA Week Feb. 20-27. The theme this year is "Lead Out Loud."

As a part of National FFA Week Joseph FFA chapter members will hold an open-to-the-public welcome barbecue at the high school Tuesday, Feb. 23 (time to be announced).

As community leaders, Joseph FFA chapter members support activities such as the Joseph Junior Rodeo, Christmas tree sales, Wallowa County Fair, a hay ride and Wallowa Resourses water testing.

Members may attend national leadership conferences, start their own businesses and apply for awards and scholarships.

One of every five Americans is employed in the food, fiber and natural resources industries, and many FFA members are preparing for one of 300 careers in agriculture.

National FFA Week is sponsored by Tractor Supply Company and Carhartt as a special project of the National FFA Foundation.
