The Joseph School Board plans to wait until it can review the Enterprise-Joseph consolidation study which is expected to be released Jan. 28 before it even considers the question of possibly combining sports teams.

That was the word issued to the public at the Jan. 14 Joseph School Board meeting by Superintendant Rich Graham.

While the topic wasn't actually discussed at the board meeting, Graham said it was a concensus opinion that the suggestion made by the Enterprise School board to look at combining athletics be delayed.

"I'm looking forward to seeing what the (consolidation) study has to say," commented board member Carol Bayne.

Graham also said that Joseph has no plans to cut its school year to save money.
