The City of Joseph is holding its annual Community Cleanup Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, and encourages all residents to take the opportunity to clean up and spruce up their property.

The city will be accepting the following items at the city parking lot on North Lake Street: computers, computer monitors and televisions; vehicle batteries, used motor oil (limit five gallons), metal and tires without rims (limit four tires).

There will also be a dumpster for property debris – no household garbage – at the parking lot.

Arrangements for items to be picked up at curbside, such as old appliances, can be made. Call city hall with questions or to get on a list for curb pickup at 541-432-3832.

Expect to see merchants sweeping sidewalks and crews of students helping out to get Joseph looking its best and ready for the upcoming visitor season.
