The Lynden Memorial Scholarship program has awarded six scholarships for 2005.

This year's awardees will follow a variety of educational and career pursuits. All are children of Lynden company employees; each received a $1,000 scholarship to go toward the 2005-2006 academic year.

Eryn Kelley will enter her first year of studies in Construction Management this fall at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. Kelley is the valedictorian of her senior class at Enterprise High School and is a Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Gold State Medalist. Her parents are Greg and Cheryl Kelley of Enterprise and Greg works for Knik Construction Co., Inc.

"Lynden is pleased to offer this opportunity to the children of our employees," said Mary Sutherland, who coordinates the application process for Lynden.

"On behalf of all our employees, we congratulate Eryn and wish her the best of luck with her future studies."

The number of scholarships awarded, as required by law, is based on a percentage of the applications received. Twenty-five applications were submitted.

Review and final selection of recipients is handled by Scholarship Management Services of St. Peter, Minn.
