The lady Eagles feathered their nest with Huskies fur as they swooped down on Elgin during a home league opener.  Set scores were 25-14, 25-17, and 25-17.

Coach Jill Hite said the girls played with amazing energy in front of their home crowd. She also noted the ladies had a lot of support from the football team as well as other kids in the high school and middle school.

"I am impressed with their resilience and support for one another," she said.

Highlights included the performance of all-around athlete, Sabrina Albee, who led the team with six kills, two blocks, three aces and a pair of assists. Senior Camille Crenshaw posted two kills, four serving aces and three assists.

Freshman Maggie Miller made her mark, playing a solid match with two aces and five assists.
