Joseph Public Library fundraising committee will host a benefit to help fund the planned library building expansion project.
A “Soup-er Bingo Night” will be held 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at The Place conference hall adjacent to the Joseph United Methodist Church. The event includes bingo, all you can eat soup dinner and a raffle of various gift baskets. All ages are welcome.
Salad, breads and bottomless bowls of homemade soups will be available for a $10 per person donation or $25 for families of three or more. A children’s discount will also be available.
Bingo cards are $1 apiece, and the game will be ongoing throughout the event. Attendees are welcome to come and go or stay throughout the event.
Themed baskets to be raffled include cooking, art supplies, outdoors, children, knitting and crafting, romance and more. Raffle tickets are $5 apiece or $20 for five. The drawing will be held 7 p.m.; must be present to win.
Plans for the library are to have the building remain at the same site with a new addition and improved areas for community gathering and library services for all ages.
Each dollar raised at the fundraiser will be matched with funds from a project grant authorized by the Wildhorse Foundation in Pendleton.
