Thunder Run promises weekend of revelry for bikers

The 2016 Thunder Run promises a host of motorcycle games, activities and live music.

The third annual Thunder Run, a Wallowa County event that centers around motorcycles, is set to roar off from the Wallowa County Fairgrounds this weekend. Event organizer Gary Bethscheider said he hopes to attract about 2,000 people for the four-day event that begins Thursday.

The fun starts off with the tongue-twisting Thirsty Thunder Thursday Kickoff Party that features a $10 for a barbecue chicken dinner with $5 from each ticket going to the Wallowa County Humane Society and prize giveaways. Friday features more fun with a guided ride to Boggan’s Oasis for the Milkshake & Rattlesnake Ride with participants meet at Cloverleaf Hall with departure at 10:15 a.m.
