The first full week of October continued a rough trend of COVID-19 cases in Wallowa County.

After a drop to just two new cases on Tuesday, Oct. 5, the Oregon Health Authority reported 22 cases on Wednesday, Oct. 6, and six cases on Thursday, Oct. 7, bringing the overall count in the pandemic to 634, per the OHA site. 

Already this month, there already have been 50 new cases reported by the OHA in Wallowa County, an average of more than seven per day. 

No new deaths were reported, leaving the county total at 12.
