In late April—the 25th through the 28th—anyone wishing to create a short film to be shown publicly will be given their chance during the second annual Ruby Peak Film Festival.

Assigned a character, a prop, a line of dialogue, and a genre on the first night of the competition, teams of any size will be required to submit a 3 to 8 minute film produced within a 48-hour timeframe.

On Sunday, April 28 beginning at 2:30 p.m., final film productions will be shown free of charge to the public on the big screen at the OK Theatre, in Enterprise.

The Ruby Peak Film Festival will launch at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Lear’s Main Street Pub & Grill, in Enterprise. At that time pizza will be served and team assignments will be distributed.

The underlying mission of the festival is to advance filmmaking and promote young and young-at-heart filmmakers.

Creativity and teamwork will be stressed as new directors, artists, actors, and cinematographers merge their skills.
