A downhill skier from Jackson Hole, Wyo., was found by a Tucker Down Road resident early Sunday morning in a barn, after the skier had been reported missing late Saturday night by friends.

Sam Harriman, 24, was reported missing to the Wallowa County Sheriff's Office at 11:17 p.m. Saturday, April 12. Thirteen Search and Rescue members participated in a search focused on the east side of Wing Ridge, approximately 10 miles southeast of Joseph.

The search team equipped with winter survival gear snowshoed up to the 8,000 foot elevation near where the man was last seen on Saturday.

After several hours of searching the Wallowa County Sheriff's Office was notified around 7:30 a.m. Sunday that the skier had been locaated on Tucker Down Road, approximately 6 1/2 miles from where he was last seen. Harriman was in good health and was driven to the search base by the local resident.
