On May 13 Perry Britton, 44, of Lostine was convicted on four counts of violation of a restraining order by a Clackamas County Circuit Court judge for having contact with his former wife Joee Dorothy Anderson. He is currently serving 180 days of jail time in Clackamas County where the offenses occurred.

He has again been ordered by the court to have no contact with Anderson.

In March Britton was found not guilty of eight charges surrounding an alleged domestic violence situation involving in September of 2001. A 12-person Wallowa County Circuit Court jury was unable to come to an agreement on two additional charges.

Jury voted against conviction on three counts of Assault-4, three counts of menacing, one count of harassment and one count of interfering with making a report, but could not agree on another counts of menacing and one of coercion, which is a C felony.

According to District Attorney Dan Ousley, in Wallowa County Britton still faces additional charges, including a contempt of court charge for a release agreement violation and violation of restraining order for not paying a $1,000 fee. He said the menacing and coercion charges that resulted in a hung jury could also still be re-filed.
