The local presentation of the National Day of Prayer will be held Wednesday and Thursday of next week, May 5 and 6. The public is invited to attend.

At 6:45 p.m. Wednesday simultaneous events will be held at the Wallowa County Family Youth Center between Enterprise and Joseph and at the courthouse gazebo in Enterprise. A youth rally will be held at the former and a prayer walk at the latter.

At 7 a.m. the following morning a prayer breakfast will be held at the First Baptist Church of Enterprise with Darrel Gilliland of the Wallowa County Family Youth Center the featured speaker. Headmaster Archie Buck of Providence Academy in Lostine will be the featured speaker at noon at Thursday for a National Day of Prayer event scheduled at the gazebo. Music, finger food, drinks and prayer will be provided.
