Anne Gill of Joseph is the new director of Wallowa County Commission on Children and Families (WCCCF), succeeding Peg Vanderzanden, who is now working in a regional position with the State Commission on Children and Families.

Prior to being hired for the director position, Gill worked for the past three years for Building Healthy Families, helping teach parenting classes, promoting and tracking services provided by Building Healthy Families and also working one-on-one in helping parents improve parenting skills. Her job entailed grant writing and working with most of the same agencies and organizations that she will now work with as WCCCF director.

"Another exciting thing is that Peg is still going to be in Wallowa County and we'll be working together," said Gill. She also said that office manager Vickie Wallace is very knowledgeable and she will depend also on Wallace's experience.

Gill's position will be filled by Michelle Chapin and Erin Donovan, who will share the job.
