ENTERPRISE – Bill and Melisa Bush, owners of OK Theatre, announced this week that after this week’s movie, scheduled to run Friday through Sunday, the theater will be closed for “the foreseeable future.”

The couple left at the end of July 28 for teaching jobs with an international school in Shanghai, China, planning to finalize an agreement with another couple to operate the theater in their absence. “The tentative lease agreement did not go through this week, and it is too difficult to try to run the theatre from Shanghai, China,” the couple said on the OK Theater Facebook page Monday night.

They recommended that residents with movie passes use them for “Ice Age 4” this weekend.

“We hope to have a few shows next summer while we are back home, and your passes would be valid then as well,” they said, adding that two scheduled events will still take place at the theater, the Alpenfest show and the Infamous Stringdusters.
