The Wallowa-Whitman National Forest has announced several prescribed burns taking place this week (Oct. 20-24), including two in Wallowa County.

One called the Ebel Burn in the Wallowa Oregon Department of Forestry District was announced for 110 acres located 15 miles east of Wallowa (T1nR44eSec10). The second, the Upper Imnaha project in the Enterprise fire district was for 989 acres 20 miles South-Southeast of Joseph (T5sR47eSec15).

Three other prescribed burns in the Baker fire district were also announced.
