Joseph artist Dan Price will be profiled this week on the television program "Art Beat," produced by Oregon Public Broadcasting.

Price is one of three Oregon artists who will appear on the show, which airs at 8 p.m. on Thursday, and again at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Price is the author of cartoons collectively known as the "Moonlight Chronicles," which document his adventures in Wallowa County and beyond.

"From a hobbit hole deep in the ground, Dan Price sketches and writes a journal of his adventures," OPB said in a programming note on its Web site. "Meet a modern day hobo whose life is his art."

Other artists who will also appear on the show are Michael Allen Harrison, a Portland musician who recently opened a recording studio in Portland's Pearl District, and the Oregon Coast Lab Band from North Bend.

Oregon Art Beat is an Emmy-award-winning weekly television series which profiles artists, musicians, and artisans, and suggests upcoming events.
