Grace Lutheran Church of Enterprise, a tiny congregation of some 25 regular attendees, has made inroads into the heart of Carolyn Pfeaster of Community Connection. Pfeaster is in a position to know who gives of their time and possessions to the less fortunate in the community and singles out Grace Lutheran for giving steadily over a long period of time.

To document her praise Pfeaster went back to July 1, 2003, and talked about how much she knows that the small congregation has donated to such local programs as the Wallowa County food bank, senior meals program and special medical transportation program.

In the past nine months Grace Lutheran has given $730 to the three charitable programs and handed her an additional check of $520 last week for the food bank. Bringing in foodstuffs every week, Pfeaster said that the congregation has donated 250 pounds of food to the food bank in the same nine month period of time.
