On Sunday, March 18, the Wallowa Rod & Gun Club will hold its St. Patrick’s Day meat shoot at the trap-shooting range about three miles west of Wallowa just off of Lower Diamond Road.

Breakfast and lunch will be available for shooters—there to compete for ham, cheese, and summer sausage prizes—and to spectators. In commemoration of the day, a traditional Irish lunch will be served as well.

Shooting will begin at about 9 a.m. and last much of the day.

For nonshooters, games will be played.
