Local offices of the Department of Human Services and most other state agencies will be closed Friday, March 19, as most state employees take a mandatory, unpaid furlough on that day.

The March 19 closure, a result of budget cuts adopted by the 2009 Legislature, is the third of ten closure dates the state has scheduled over the current two-year budget period.

One exception to the closure will be the OSU Wallowa County Extension Office. It instead will be closed March 26.
