Big news comes from the Wildwood and the mystery is solved as Hansel and Gretel uncover the secret of the Wildwood Witch in Missoula Children Theatre's musical production of "Hansel and Gretel" to be played at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday at the OK Theatre in Enterprise.
Forty-five Wallowa County students make up the cast, which rehearsed all week following Monday auditions at Wallowa School.
The cast features Tyler Chrisman as Hansel, Katelynn Burns as Gretel and Olivia Soares as the Wildwood Witch.
Bryce Leggett, Angie Short, Tyler Soares, Anna Chrisman, Natalie Millar, Angela Burns, Caitlin Bruse and Megan Goller will play the witch's loyal servants, the eight Crafty Cooks.
The roles of the Old Campers will be filled by Sean O'Connor, Kolton Kolbaba, Shawna Chrisman, Pierce Millar, Kaylee Neal and Sara Chrisman, while Olivia Woods, Morgan Green, Heather Bressinck, Taylor Darnielle, McKenzie Lindsey, Noel Taylor, Holly Taylor and Edie Bressinck will portray the Modern Day Campers - somehow lost in time in the woods.
The creepy crawly Nasties are played by Emma Carlson, Lily Fiegel, Madison Lindsey, Kaitlin O'Connor, Omega Thiel, Effie Burns, Casey Hayes, John Green, Austin Burns, Lexi Tippett-Nelson and Katelynne Wagner.
The wonderfully mythical Wallybirds are played by Breanna Phelps, Mercedes Wagner, Gabe Burns, Claire Wellens, Karl Wellens, Zyler Thomas Hermens and Cheyenne Knight.
Nathan Leggett and Savannah Mazza have served as invaluable assistant directors throughout the week, according to event coordinator Sofia Millar.
Tickets are $5.50 for adults, $3.50 for students, and $1 pre preschoolers and are available at the door.
