On Oct. 18 members of Wallowa High School Future Business Leaders of America students and their advisor Dr. Dawn Crow completed a community service club project providing each Wallowa Elementary student in grades kindergarten through second with a pumpkin.

Wallowa FBLA has earned numerous state accolades over the years including State 1A Chapter of the year for 2005-06.

One goal of the give-away is to help nurture positive connections between high school students and K-2 students.

The students plan to decorate their pumpkins before Halloween with the help of their teachers Marylin Soares, Jan Bird and Vearl Lewis.
