Wallowa County Friends of the NRA recently announced local scholarship and grant awards, part of the $440,000 awarded statewide by Oregon Friends of the NRA.

In Wallowa County, a $20,000 grant went to the Eagle Cap Shooters Association to build a men’s and women’s vault-type restroom similar to those found at many highway rest areas; and Divide Camp was awarded $15,000 to purchase an all-terrain action track wheelchair so disabled veterans of military missions spawned by 9-11 can enjoy the great outdoors.
