WALLOWA – The Wallowa Valley Orchestra, made up mostly of Wallowa County musicians, will perform this weekend.

The concert will be presented by Inland Northwest Musicians at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Wallowa High School.

Director/conductor is R. Lee Friese of Athena, while Randy Morgan of Enterprise is the associate director of the all-volunteer orchestra. While most players are from the Wallowa Valley area, some instrumental sections are supplemented by members of the Inland Northwest Musicians from other places in the region.

Admission is free to all Inland Northwest concerts. It is a non-profit organization so donations are always gratefully accepted. Tax-deductible Season Sustaining Memberships with voting rights may be purchased for $50 at the door.

Following the concert, the audience is invited to join the performers for a reception with beverages and cookies.

Concert sponsor is JB Bane & Co.; 2012-13 corporate sponsors are US Bancorp Foundation and PGE Foundation.
